Design Concept

The project aim at visualising the urban density and complexity as sound through egg cartons. The project imitates the skyline in Hong Kong by duplicating each of the transformed and remolded egg cartons to generate a dynamic form and pattern.

The project has been adopted in the podium floor of the Jockey Club Innovation Tower for experiment, visualising the noise as density in the busy area, letting people to sit on it and look things in details which we used to ignore.

 

Egg Carton & Snap button

This project picks egg carton as the single material, which is an usual seen object in Hong Kong with the property of absorbing sound. The egg carton modulars would be connected to each other with the use of snap button.
